In this episode, pt. 1 of 3 with Rea, she discusses being raised Mormon in the 1960′s and how she developed a deep shame about her sexuality that pervaded and overwhelmed her self-esteem, how she had happy times in spite of this in mormon youth programs and high school, how she suffered from the tumultuous events of the lates sixties and first advocated for a gay friend, and how her future husband became her best friend.316812_10150277300826790_634511_n
